Information We Collect

When you submit an inquiry, we collect the information you choose to provide, which may include your name, email address, phone number, event date and location, guest count, service interests, event details, and preferred contact method.

We also collect limited technical information, including the submission time and a scrambled code derived from your IP address to help prevent spam and excessive submissions. The form does not store your full IP address.

Our website hosting provider may also collect technical information needed to operate the website, diagnose errors, and provide visitor statistics.

How We Use Your Information

We use information submitted through our website to:

• Respond to inquiries and communicate about K Cooks services.
• Send an automatic confirmation that your inquiry was received.
• Plan potential catering, private chef, or other service arrangements.
• Protect the website against spam, abuse, and technical issues.

Inquiry information is used only to respond to inquiries and communicate about K Cooks services. Email addresses are not added to a general customer contact list.

Submitting an inquiry does not automatically subscribe you to a marketing email list.

How Your Information Is Stored and Shared

Inquiry submissions are stored through Lovable Cloud, using Supabase infrastructure.

We use Resend to deliver inquiry notifications and confirmation emails. Inquiry notifications are also delivered to our business Gmail account, provided by Google.

These service providers process information as necessary to support our website and communications. Within K Cooks, Kristen Precourt, the owner, is the only team member who reviews customer inquiry records. Our website developer and our technical service providers may access inquiry information as necessary to maintain the website and deliver inquiry emails. Technical administration of the website is handled through our website platform (Lovable) and its infrastructure.

We do not sell personal information collected through our website.

How Long We Keep Information

Inquiry records are retained for business and communication purposes until manually deleted. There is currently no automatic deletion schedule.

Copies of inquiry emails may also remain in Gmail and Resend, subject to those providers' own retention practices.

Cookies and Website Analytics

Our website does not currently use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or marketing tracking cookies. Our website hosting provider may collect basic usage and technical information to operate the site, diagnose errors, and provide visitor statistics.

If our tracking practices change, we will update this policy as appropriate.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, including Facebook and Instagram. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
